Dogs’ visual perception
This line of research focuses on the mechanisms of perception and processing of visual stimuli. In these experiments, we present dogs with diverse stimuli, including abstract images, realistic/naturalistic images as well as real stimuli. We are particularly interested in the elaboration of global and local level of hierarchical images, the perception of stimuli in motion, the elaboration of the characteristics of motion, discrimination and recognition of familiar human faces, and processing of visual illusions.
